A Fresh + Airy Wedding Styled by Lauryn Prattes Styling
Just in time for this long weekend up ahead, we thought the perfect wedding to share would be Morgan and Ross’s bayside wedding. They were married at Stoney’s in Brooms Island, Maryland, a venue selected by Morgan’s mother just before she lost her battle with cancer. Situated in a quaint town along the Chesapeake Bay, the venue was the perfect landscape for a preppy nautical affair.
Lauryn Prattes Styling and Events did such a fabulous job with this wedding. Talk about covering every single detail…The wedding featured a fresh and airy color palette of navy, mint and crisp white. Tuscan wood chairs brought a slight rustic feel which paired well with the romantic and whimsical details.
Upon arrival, guests were treated to bottles of lemonade while they waited for the ceremony to begin. A framed map made by the father-of-the-bride served as the guests’ seating chart where each name was adorned by a small golden anchor.
The anchor theme was repeated throughout the event: a navy anchor pattern adorned the back of the groomsmen’s ties, Mr. and Mrs. anchors hung on the backs of the bride and grooms chairs, and a vintage anchor from Morgan’s mother decorated the dessert bar.
As guests left the reception they received to-go bags of mini-ice cream sandwiches wrapped in parchment paper to enjoy on the ride home.
