The Dandelion Patch
Heidi Kallett, an inspiring female entrepreneur, is the force behind the lovely Dandelion Patch shops around the D.C. area. I recently caught up with her for some sage advice on upcoming 2014 stationery trends, classic looks that will remain in style, and outside of the box ideas…
What trends are you seeing for 2014 for wedding stationery?
- More bold colors incorporated into the design of the invitation
- Less traditional suites and more modern/contemporary designs.
- Abstract ways of tying in their theme and not being SO literal with it
- Save the dates, we’re continuing to see photos and fun ones that show the couple’s personality. Maps and metro cards anyone?
- Bold patterned liners
- Fun RSVP card verbiage
- No more matchy-match… we see many colors and many patterns mixed together beautifully so each card blends, but is different
What classic looks will remain popular for 2014 brides?
- Continuing to see foiling and calligraphy fonts
- Clean text layouts will ALWAYS be in style regardless of any design element
In addition to the invitation set, what other printed materials do you offer brides?
We can do anything from programs, menus and place cards to fun matchbooks, napkins and coasters to fun gift tags and welcome bags. If it’s printed – we can do it!
