How did you become a makeup artist?
Makeup artistry is what I was born to do. I’m an artist at heart and I love to enhance & create beauty with all types medium. So imagine the joy I felt the first time I laid eyes on makeup brushes and makeup colors & textures.I knew I had found my passion!
I love assisting woman to feel & see their true beauty especially on her wedding day!
Have you noticed any trends in bridal makeup in the last few months?
I have noticed a few trends in bridal makeup and photography.
Brides are generally asking for a natural application that photographs beautiful or a more dramatic look for evening weddings.
False lashes are a huge trend / individual and strips.
Bolder eyeliner, brows & a pop of color on lips are on trend this bridal season as well.
Brides are not choosing traditional photos for their wedding albums as much.
photojournalist style photography is still popular but more brides are trending towards more editorial styled images. ;)
I personally love any photograph of a beautiful bride!
How far in advance do you recommend booking?
I recommend booking a makeup artist a year in advance if possible. Good artist book quickly.
I also recommend doing a trial 2 – 3 months before actual day of.

Any wedding day makeup “don’ts”?
Don’t introduce any new beauty regimens to your routine the closer you get to your wedding day. (1 or 2 months prior)
Don’t:
Examples / deep pore cleansing facials or extreme exfoliating, excessive facial hair removal… Sounds strange right.
Some brides have been known to pull out all the props before her wedding day.
Do:
Drink plenty of water, eat correctly, exercise regularly and try and get 8 hours of sleep per night & wear SPF daily

I draw inspiration for my bridal makeup from everywhere
