How and when did Beauty N’ the Bride get it’s start?

I have had the pleasure of working with brides for the past 15 years. Beauty ‘N the Bride had a rebirth in 2010 when i felt compelled  by my passion for my craft coupled with the rewards of working with the every day woman to find their individual “sparkle” to leave my successful full time sales career and pursue my dream as a full time makeup artist.

What advice do you have for brides who are selecting a make up artist?

The key piece of advice that I always give to brides beyond the obvious of feeling beautiful in the look that has been provided, is to make sure that the chemistry between you and the artist feels natural and pleasant.  Generally we are one the last to be fully engaged with you before you begin to step into your gown and the whirlwind begins…nothing should take away from your good vibrations during that time.

Do you have a signature make up look you try to achieve for brides?

I like to focus on a bride’s eyes.  Your eyes are what show every emotion that you are feeeling during the most memorable moments.  Whether they are tender, exciting, joyous, the eyes express them all.

Have you noticed any emerging make up trends?

It’s actually funny to me how many brides request lashes now.  I used to beg my brides to try lashes 5-6 years ago because of what they do to enhance a woman’s features…now that’s the first thing they ask me for during the first phone call!
