Carnegie Institute Wedding

Darius and Marissa were married in December of 2011 at Carnegie Institute with a very soft romantic color palette of purple, white, and silver. These two had gone through a year of ups and downs with family loss that almost made them cancel the wedding all together. However, they were able to rally and to celebrate an amazing night for their guests that was filled with the utmost amount of love. The ceremony in the Rotunda was a celebration of life with personalized readings and laughter that rang throughout the building. The bride’s brother personally etched snowflake ornaments for guests to keep as a favor and tables were named after famous D.C. landmarks like Ben’s Chilli Bowl and the African Art Museum.

This day is a perfect example of what weddings should be all about and I hope you all enjoy it as much as me!! Happy Monday!
