If you’ve always dreamed of the romance and scenery that comes with a destination wedding to the countryside of a foreign land, but wanted to remain close to home, you can have the best of both worlds. Tudor Place is the perfect spot for a picturesque wedding right here in the District.

Tudor Place

Mandy Katz, Communications Officer at Tudor Place, eloquently describes the venue as a unique open space tucked into bustling historic Georgetown. With its 200 years of history and grand vistas, Tudor Place is an ideal setting for an outdoor wedding ceremony alone, or ceremony and small reception.

Katz says that there is always something in bloom on the 5.5-acre estate’s varied landscape, which ranges in style from expansive English-style lawns on the south side to formal French parterre layouts in the North Garden. Towering trees (some of which may predate American Independence) surround a series of intimate garden “rooms” laced with paths, gazebos, fountains and other features, including two rose arbors and a Japanese Teahouse.

Tudor Place is an enchanting outdoor space that is perfect for an elegant and personal wedding. From the towering trees to the historic location, anyone will feel as though they have been swept away to Europe.
