April showers don’t only bring May flowers, they also bring May brides. With many weddings around the corner, my own included, many of us are starting to plan or receive invitations for bridal showers. I for one am extremely excited to head back east and get to see both family and friends at my shower in March. My sister and future sister-in-law have been planning and keeping most details a secret, but I can already tell it is going to be wonderful.
The hard, but fun part is selecting the perfect outfit. March in DC is a tricky month, especially with the relatively mild winter this year. March is just on the verge of spring and here in San Diego where it is sunny year round, spring colors are everywhere from store windows to actual people. Below are two fun options I’ve found that I think will allow me to incorporate some of the fun spring colors and trends, but could be paired with a jacket or cardigan for a cooler day.
But who says you have to wear spring colors? I have a friend who recently had a Breakfast at Tiffany’s themed bridal shower and everyone looked great in their little black dresses and pearls. Below are two updated little black dresses that would be perfect for a shower of that theme.
