Summer is coming!
Do you know how happy that makes me? Seriously, so excited. I mean, I understand that everyone moves to Steamboat for the ski season, which yes, was awesome, but I am way more psyched for summer in the mountains! We’ve had a few nice days this week and a bunch of us got out of work (cause no one is bringing their children in for ski lessons right now anyway) and went up to the mountains to do some hiking and climbing all day….what a perfect way to spend a day off! It was the first time I let Tally off her leash to see what she would do, and she was perfect. Ran around like a maniac but would come back to me every minute or so to make sure Mama didn’t leave her. It worked well…..she exhausted herself for the next three days!
Things have been good. The mountain closes on Sunday which is sad, but like I said, I am so ready for summer. I have been training for my new jobs which keeps me busy, and I have finally gotten better after a doctors visit and some antibiotics, so the tri training has recommenced! I bought a bike trainer the other day so I have no excuses anymore….we’ll see how it goes!
I bought a new pair of skis yesterday and am seriously so excited to head up tomorrow! Everyone is having crazy end of year sales and so I got them for $150, when they were originally $650. Amazing, right? Kinda sad that they will only get used a few times before being put away for next season, but it totally made me happy!
