Steamboat, we have arrived!

Ok! So we are officially here, and so far, I love it! We started our jobs at the KVC as ski instructors for little kids, and its been lots of fun. Doesn’t really involve much skiing considering my oldest students have been all of five years old, but it has been lots of fun and I love getting be outside. The season pass is another awesome perk, and I love being able to walk five minutes up a hill and be at the base of the gondola. How much better could it get?

Going to a job interview for a part time position in a little bit. Hopefully it will go ok and money won’t be such an issue up here. Beautiful place to live, hard place to afford, but I guess that it is the deal with all mountain towns, right?

Other than that, we have just been settling in and getting used to life up here. Things are different than down in Denver, and there are definitely small-town vibes going up here. We went out the other night, and Matt was explaining that stuff goes around crazy fast in a town like Steamboat…..the best part is that Meg and I have already experience this first hand with someone we know…..do people really think stuff won’t get back to you? We decided that it might be funny to start a rumor that we are lesbians, just to see how long it would take to get back to us. Of course, that may do us some damage as well, so we’re still considering but still! It would be funny!
