Movin’ on out
So, we are actually trying to get motivated with this moving thing….seriously! We spent the past two days up in Steamboat, looking for jobs and places to live. This is going to be tough! Our philosophy had kinda been to find a job first, and then start worrying about a place to live, but unfortunately, I don’t think it can work quite like that up there! Sure, this isn’t the best time of year to be looking for a job in Steamboat (in a month or so, all the winter people leave and lots of jobs and rentals open up), but there are still enough for Meg and I to get by at least for a little while….but as for rentals, no hay nada! Or at least, there isn’t anything with two bedrooms, allows pets, and won’t make us sign a really long lease. They always have two of our criteria set, but we haven’t been able to find all three….of course, there was an awesome-sounding one that we found in the paper yesterday, but apparently everyone else thought so too….it was already rented by the afternoon. Sad!
Applied for lots of jobs of varying sorts….hotels, restaurants, the newspaper, the school district, and even as a kinda sorta ski school instructor, which I happen to think would be awesome, even if it will only last for a few more months. Yikes!
