Made it to Puno
So we made it, and we´re here. Our bus was supposed to leave Arequipa this morning at 10:30, but of course, South American time schedule, we didn´t actually leave until 12:30. Apparently, there weren´t enough passengers on the bus, so they thought that we would just sit around for 2 hours until more showed up. Whatever. Only problem was that I REAllY had to pee, about 2 hours into the ride but about 4 hours into our bus time….luckily, you can just jump off the bus and pee anytime it stops, as long as you manage to get back on before they drive away. I got to pee behind a shed. It was awesome
So, we made it to Puno, and it is beautiful. The hostel we are staying at is amazing, and we managed to schedule it so that we are here doing fiesta time. Should be fun fun fun!
Aside from the islands, I think we may try to tour this town 10 km up the road. They apparently have a temple devoted fertility, which essentially means a lot of penis-shaped statues hanging out. Should be good for a few giggles at least!
